Athlone Boat Club is the proud owner of the Rio 2016 Lightweight Double Scull used by the famous O'Donovan brothers Gary and Paul from west Cork. They made their mark on Irish sporting history by winning the country’s first ever rowing medal during this Olympics. This double scull is now being used by Athlone Boat Club and the club is running a draw to win the naming rights of this historical boat.
